i have a 97 f150 4x4 5.4 liter and i'm looking for donor engine,is there a difference in a 99 van and f150 5.4liter that would prevent interchanging ? also what model years will swap into my truck as a simple swap ? and what's the suggested engines to look for ?

 

99-03 5.4 would be a straight across swap & you'd get the P.I heads. 260HP Vs your 235HP...

 

Same engine as yours, you'll have to use your manifold, Plenum and TB set up.

In 99, the Vans F250's wer all Non-PI. Only the 99 F150's had the PI 5fours.
