Default Engine shudder when accelerating

Hi all,

I have a 2004 with the v6 engine. Just recently when accelerating at higher speeds (50-60mph) the engine has started shuddering like it's not getting fuel. It doesn't always do this but will go through stretchs (maybe 20 miles or so) when it will run fine and then run rough for 20-30 miles. It also runs fine at speeds below say 50mph and seems to smooth out and run fine at speeds above 60 mph. I did change the fuel filter which was needed but it didn't really fix the above problem.

Any ideas on what to look at next? Thanks
for your help.

My guess would be a low grade misfire causing the shutter. Plugs and wires would be the best place to start.

Default shudder

If plugs do not do the trick. Check for loose or diconnected vacuum lines.
