Default Drive shaft clunking 2012 F150 5.0

my 2012 F150 with 2 piece drive shaft has a clunk in it at take off from stop and sometimes when I take my foot off the gas pedal and not use the brake. The same clunk I had in my 72 F100 and 85 F150. I’ve read a little I. This site about it and keep getting sidetracked by the arguments. My universals are ok. Any advice? I plan to repair the issue myself.

Only way to find out is to go underneath and start looking for the play in the driveline.. Look at engine mounts too.

Chances are that your slip yoke is dry.
If you agree then hers what you do, or at least what I did.
Drop the driveshaft-carefully snip the clamps on the slip yoke boot- slowly separate the two ends (feel for obvious drag)- clean up male and female ends with some sort of parts cleaner and a toothbrush if necessary- inspect the splines and if confident file any imperfections- use whatever lube you trust (I used Graphite Crazy Tac) and lube up the splines- put it back together and reinstall.
I used zip ties to hold the boot in place and snipped them. So far I have about 15k on my yokes since i lubricated them and not one pop or clunk.
