Default Coolant seeping from engine

driving home from wally world on Friday my truck had a bad misfire and started over heating and the CEL was flashing. It wasn't like a COP misfire though, this was worse. when i had COPs fail they didn't cause the truck to over heat and the exhaust to stink. i checked the coolant and there was non left in the truck so i refilled the coolant container today. I also cleaned my MAF sensor today that smoothed out the idle a little bit and cleared the CEL but its still feels like it has a minor misfire. I was about to go for a quick drive to see if cleaning the MAF fixed my problem when i noticed a green puddle of coolant/antifreeze below the truck feed by a constant drip from the front drivers side of the engine. I found the leak and it is right where the crankcase (I think that's what it is called) meets the engine. it looks like there is a gasket sticking out of the seem where the engine and the crankcase meet.

Anybody know what's wrong with it? Blown head gasket? Cracked head? How much its gonna cost? Should I just replace with a crate/junkyard 5.4 2v?
