Default Coolant problem....

I have a 98 4.6 with 98k miles and a coolant problem. I am burning coolant somewhere under the hood and cannot find it. I have alot of white smoke out of the exhaust
. I have noticed a puddle of coolant in the valley below the intake runners. I did a pressure check on the system and no leaks i can find. What could this puddle be from? I changed the thermostat and confirmed no leaks. I flushed the system and all looks good. I am loosing coolant, about half an inch in the overflow tank. I was wondering if the waterpump line could be faulty in the intake valley? Also is there any way water can enter the exhaust other than a head gasket? Thanks for the help.

Austin

Have someone do a block check (chemical test for carbon monoxide) on the cooling system to confirm engine integrity. As far as coolant accumulation in valley that sounds like intake or head gaskets seeping into the valley. Pressure test to confirm.
