Engine runs fine, the gauge in the cluster pegs when started, but does not read after that. Have a scanner hooked up to it that reads a normal E temp, but then it goes up to about 250, and it shuts down 4 cylinders.

Wait a few minutes and then it runs fine again until the cycle repeats itself. Replaced the temp sensor last night. Any ideas?
