Default 4.6 engine swap

Hello, Just joined this great site, I have a 2000 F150 with a 4.6. Engine. Engine seized , not sure why . I have found a low mile 1997 4.6 engine. Can I swap this for mine and use my ignition system (COPS)? Is there anything else that could be a problem?
Thanks for any help.

It will be a weaker engine unless your old heads are carrying over.

Default Engine swap

Thanks for the answer. I thought 2000 F150s used the same non PI head as the 97?

From what I have read some of the 99s had the non pi setup but I know my 2000 has the PI heads. If you put this question in the 97-03 section you will definitely get more answers.
