Default 4.6

hello guys. I'm new to the site and have a newb question. I'm looking at buying a 97 150 with a blown 4.6 and was wondering where could I start looking for an engine (cars, trucks, years) and any changes that may or maynot have to be made? Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated. Shannon

Are you looking to replace the engine or get it rebuilt?

And if you are looking to completely replace it, do you want a new or used engine? ( prices will vary a good bit )

I also assume you are looking to stay with the 4.6 and not upgrade to a 5.4 size engine?

I can point you in the general direction of where to go with some of that info. :-)

Direction'ish.....lol

I'm not looking to rebuild, just replace. I've found several for sale but some are from cars. I'm not familiar with these engines. I know on 5.0's you had to swap oil pans and I was wondering if I was going to have to do changes like this. Thanks
