Hi All, I'm chasing a problem and want to see if I'm on the right track. In the morning my trucks cranks and idles fine. During the drive to work when I'm usually going up hill the truck starts skipping bad. Usually if I stomp on the gas it will drop down a gear and then the skipping stops. Now in the afternoon on the way home, it will skip at idle and when I start to pull off. Also it will continue the up hill skip.

I have replaced the spark plugs, air filter, and pvc elbow behind the throttle body. I am in the process of changing the coil packs, one at a time due to funds.

Has anyone had simliar issues? I have searched and found some similar and everyone mentions coil packs, but never if it has fixed the issue. Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

 

I have exactly the same issue ... cleaned my throttle body and maf as also recommended here..didn't help. Feels like fuel issue to me so filter is next...starting cheap while figuring out the problem
