The EB torque curve for a gasser is unreal.

I was standing at my Ford service counter the other day and a fella came in with his Eco, complaining of loss of power during wet rides. That power loss has become entrenched now.
My heart sank... it was the first encounter I had witnessed of this problem, face to face. We talked for a bit. Ford in Canada does not want to acknowledge the problem.

(Knock on wood)...
I've got about 11000 miles on my 2013 EB XLT now, mostly SW Ohio driving with a road trip to Montana last August. We've had a pretty soggy fall this year in Ohio.
I love this truck! No EB shudders for me so far. The power is fantastic. My only complaint is that the sliding rear window stopped working. I haven't asked the dealer to fix it yet.

I like the way it pulled superior to the 5.0. Both are great trucks you won't happen with either. I inquired as to whether I could pull my camper with both and the merchant let me thats why I chose the eco pulled so much simpler.

2013 EcoBoost vs. 5.0L
This is not a contest -- and I'm 80. I have a 12 Platnum, EcoBoost, 3.73 Def., Wagner Ceramic Brake Pads, Sylvania SilverStar Ultra Headlight Bulbs, Spray in Bed Liner, LeTourneau Bed top, Daylight Running Lights turned on, Full Trailer Package and Full Dash. My Comment; The best truck I have ever owned. I have had a utility trailer loaded with an Allis Chalmers All Crop 66 and pulled it 400 miles down Kansas and Oklahome Interstate highways, also an Allis Chalmers Roto Bailer loaded on the same trailer and pulled it about the same distance from middle Missouri, passing big rigs going up the hills on the interstate roads; no issues. I have 45K miles, no issues with engine in any way. I Love the Eco-Boost engine.

Well I purchased my e.b on Dec, 4th & now have almost 4k miles on it & loving every mile so far. I'm really noticing the fuel savings over my 01 5.4.. Infact, my fuel savings is covering the difference in truck payment... Also love the passing power for getting around those people who love to go 10 under on a 2 lane hwy...

Wow, well after reading this entire thread I still don't think I'm willing to take a $50k gamble(loaded Lariat sticker).
Living in Florida and all the torrential rains we get doesn't sound like a good match for the Eco. Found the exact truck I want but it has the Eco, time to hunt for the 5.0.
