Never driven a Ford before, heh, Found an old F-250 in girlfiends driveway,

There is a seized component on the serpentine belt path, I pulled the pulley (3 small bolts) and it seems like a pump but im not sure (looks like it could possibly be a PS pump but I cannot be sure I cannot find any pictures or info about the engine (havent searched to far).

Can someone help me.

ac, alternator, ps, water pump, tensioner pully?

we need some more info.


and couldnt you just take off the belt and try spinning everything till you find you what isn't spinning?

I know what isnt spinning but I am not sure what the component is

It would be the pulley that sits under the Alternator

there should be someone here that knows the 5.0 better than I do, that should be able to indentify it no problem.

Thats the Smog pump. Pull that thing off and throw it away. Run a short belt and enjoy. You might have to plug the lines leading to it.
