I just completed a long trip, mostly towing. I haven't rechecked the mileage but will be taking an unloaded trip this weekend & will recheck it.

My 5.4 averages about 14.8-15 combined with 87 octane. If I run 93, I actually drop to about 13.9-14.1mpg.

Where do you fill up your tank (brand)? I know I see an improvement in the way the truck runs if I get gas from Chevron or BP as opposed to getting it from Raceway or Citgo.

i get 12-14 and that with 91 octane which here is the top u can get and also with all the **** they put in the gas cause environmentalists complain.

I use Exxon/Mobil & gererally use regular. I got 12.5 with a mix of highway & in town, but mostly highway @ 70mph

i have the same problem with my 5.4L 2007 with 30k on it. my mileage decreased sustantially. i used to get about 360-390 per tank and now i am lucky to get 300. i added a slightly larger tire (265-285) would that mess up the calibration on the odometer? what about a tune up have not done that yet. but i do run mobile 1 as well.
