I recently bought a 2004 F150 F4 with 140000 miles that has a noisy passenger side cam phaser. I plan to do a complete timing kit change, including oil pump, etc. I've been researching here and elsewhere regarding good quality parts, and most opinions say Ford/Motorcraft. I also found a couple people saying that the Precision Auto CNC AM-3R2Z-6A257-DA cam phasers are the ones to get, and Freedom Racing also recommends these over the Ford/Motorcraft ones. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about these Precision cam phasers that could share with me? I appreciate any learned info on these.

 

 

The cam phasers were a design flaw in the 5.4 look into getting a lockout kit for it.
