Default Coil pack options?

I am new here and have tried finding the answer to my question but cant find it completely answered anywhere so I will try this.

I have a 2005 F150 5.4 4x4 King Ranch 136,000 miles with a miss around 40-55 mph and surge at full throttle. I had plugs changed around 10, 000 miles ago and currently want to replace all the coils since I cant get it to throw a code and seems that I can buy and replace all 8 coils myself for less then Ford will charge to find which coil is bad and then labor to replace it. What I am now trying to figure out is, should I spend the $350 on 8 Motorcraft or would I be just as well served with a set of the 8 coils that sell for $200-250? I am considering any opinions and options of brand or best route to go about this repair... thanks

With no cel.. Hard to say.. I would check the condition of your fuel pump driver module located under the spare tire..
