5.4 replacement engine suggestions
Well my motors gone. Bought new 07. After 134k miles (front motor cam phaser job at 125k miles) Strict maintenance always done with ford synthetic. Had the engine pulled and gone thru, crank, #4 rod, oil pump, cams, and heads all spent.
Just need some suggestion on a rebuilt replacement. Not looking for HI-PO options. Not looking for the $6000 Jasper engine either. If anyone has replaced theirs, who they used and what they paid. Looking for UNDER $3000. Used would be an option but most of the used engines I've seen they want almost as much as a reman'ed one.

My uncle said he had a mechanic find one from an old Crown Vic police car, and that hsi F150 runs like a bat out of hell. Although I'm not sure what year his truck is, I believe its 03-04. No idea on costs and whatnot, thats all I got. Good luck, bro!
