I need to replace my Transfer case shift cable: BL3Z7210AA. It was corroded and jambed and wouldn't shift from 4high back to 2wd. I was told by ford that this part is no longer available and on back order with no availability date. I manually shifted my truck back in 2wd at the transfer case. SO at least I can drive my truck. Does any one have a solution for this? Has anyone experienced this?

 

Who is “Ford” in this case?

I just googled up said part number and it’s available for purchase at various dealers unless they are all lying to me at the checkout screen.

If push comes to shove, hit up a salvage yard. I doubt the cable is different on a v8 model.

 

I also found multiple ford part sites that show it available. I called them to confirm and they said it’s back ordered and don’t know when it will be available. Thanks for looking as well. I think junk yards will be my best bet.
