Yup when U drop down to average below 62 mph u see the fuel mileage to up especially if U are out of the wind like rural blacktops with high ditches and trees. I especially like following river highways. I have averaged 24.9 for 260 miles several times that a way. 5 hour drive not for everyone though. Usually want to go the 3 3/4 hour Interstate instead. U really are only needing about 200 HP to get the job done at 60 mph. If U were asking 300 it would be much different.

Math says your avg speed is around 54 MPH. Taking into account 201.5 miles traveled in 224 minutes.

Still pretty good for a heavy vehicle. My 2000 Dodge 360 v8 got 11.5

You're way off on that one. If that were the case, an early 1990's half ton with a big v8 would top out around 58 mph at full throttle and we all would get less than 4 mpg. Try around 30 hp to go 60 mph in a half ton.
