Default Is it worth it?

So I have a stock 302, and I have removed the muffler and replaced it with a plain old Cherry Bomb glasspack. By hearing the truck, it is still so quiet you'd never know it. I don't feel like spending the time and/or money on true-duals right now, so heres the question. Is it worth trying to cut out the Resonator? More commonly known as the second cat. Will it be significantly louder even with the first cat still in? Any opinions/experiences appreciated.

its all gonna be a personal preference. personally i'd go to a decent exhaust shop and ask them what a good solid muffler is for sound. and see if it comes in a single inlet dual outlet set up. i'd try to get the outlets at either 2.5 or 3inches. that'll give you some good sound and a little better flow as well. if you can afford it i'd go with either flowmaster or magnaflow. to me, those two sound the best. but again its personal preference.
