Default WIPERS don't work??

Hey all, fixed the brakes thanks to some wonderful help here, and am hoping for some more help for my 1990 f-150
today on my way to school i put on my wipers and sprayed the fluid, and after about 4-5 wipes they stopped mid way across my windshield... so i got out of the truck, and moved them down as far as they would go and left it until tonight.. my question is this, what could it be? the fuses are all good, my fluid is still able to spray. I've heard of the wiper control module but i can find no place that tells me where that is and how to tell if it is bad? I see through the search here that many have this issue with the newer trucks, but I find none referring to an older one. Thanks in advance, Pat.

The wiper control should be under the dash toward the pass side, it is about 4" x 5" or so, it controls delay, do the wipers relax or return when key turns off or back on?
