the regulator on these motors is just a gear inside it. You can pull and rebuild your motor for pennies on the dollar. New motor is $15 at a u pull it around here, gear kit is like 5 bucks.

Listen to me, I paid $200 to watch them drill 6 holes in my doosr (needed to access the bolts), remove 3 bolts per side, take the motors off, undo 2 screws to get to the gear, replace, and then bolt the motors back in. Cheapest I could get it done for, but had I known it was so easy I would have done it myself long long ago. Both my windows were stuck up

Change the motor, what happens is the magnets in the motor get loose binding the armature, this happened to all the window motors I changed in my truck, it is fairly simple, grind the rivets, hold up the glass, remove the motor, put the old regulator on the new motor considering it is still good, get some 1\4-20 X 1\2 inch screws, I use flange nuts they are easier than trying to work with washers and nuts, I have it down to about 20 mins. to change the motor.

I drilled out the rivets, but yeah its pretty straightforward. The hardest part for me was getting the whole assembly in and out of the door. I bought the whole motor/reg assembly on Ebay for $51.

I recently did the same thing with the help of this video. Great step by step instructions.
