Default Will my build run?

I'm assembling a 351W and I just need some opinions of whether my build will run well, and any pointers on what could improve the engine operation.

- D4TE block, stock bore and stroke.
- C9OE heads. Springs rated for .550" valve lift.
- Silv-O-Lite 1144HC pistons with 5.5cc valve reliefs.
- Melling MTF-5 Camshaft.
- Zero deck.

What concerns me is that compression calculators say I'm going to have a dynamic compression of 9.75:1 and that might be too high for pump gas, but then I've also read that as long as deck clearance is low and I use a thin head gasket then I don't need to worry about detonation? Can anyone with experience building these engines weigh in?

9.75:1 is absolutely fine on pump gas.. Most newer stuff is 11:1+. You may just need to dial back some timing.

I'm not talking about a static compression, which when I run this build in a calculator it says I should get about 10.78:1 static compression. I know though that dynamic compression being too high can lead to pinging or knock and that's something I really want to avoid at all costs.
