Went for a quick little cruise in the truck today. Pulled the key out and it was VERY hot. I have the remnants of a Ford logo on my thumb to prove it. After saying a few choice words, and slinging the key to somewhere, I noticed the fuel pump running, so I jiggles some relays and it didnt ever stop so I took off the battery cable. Im guessing something shorted in the switch somehow and got the key lock hot? Thoughts....

 

Check all the grounds. The electrical might be trying to use the key to complete a circuit.
