I was wanting to lower my 96 but with the wheels I want to get, a 3/5 drop will be too much. Does anyone know of a 1 or 2 inch lowering spring that will not throw camber all out of whack? Here is how my truck sits now.

What's the point of lowering it if you don't go in the weeds?

I have 5/8 drop and I can fit a stock size wheel/tire on it if I take off my current wheels. Also, to fix any camber issues, just buy adjustable eccentric bushings for the upper ball joint, problem solved..... now slam it

Went from Moog cc824 springs up front to cc818, lowered it down 1 1/2". Rear used 1" of the 2" lowering shackle. Sits about 1/2" or so higher in the back but thats about as good as it gets for me. Vast improvement in the ride smoothness. Would have gone with the Belltech springs up front but dont want the stiff ride and not much else available to lower and keep ride quality.

I see you have 97-03 f150 wheels with the 5 on 135mm bolt pattern on your truck, how did you do this?

Hey Folks,

Just ordered a set of Crown 2" inch drop coil springs for my 92...It has all ready been lowered with the Belltech 3"-5" kit...

My question is can any one with at least a 5" drop on their truck take some pictures of their front sway bar and how it's connected. It would be really appreciated.. My front sway bar is close to rubbing on the frame with just the 3" drop. I was curious to how it's going to be connected with a 5" drop.

Thanks

You will need to put adjustable camber bushings in it most likely...Any good alignment shop can tell you how many degrees it is out and you can order some camber bushings and put them in your self. I just bought a set of Moog Alignment Caster / Camber Bushing -- adjustment range 0 to 4 deg. Part number 5304-07031965 at http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/199...r_bushing.html for my F150. You will then need to have it aligned. Also, if you lower the rear end you -may- have to shim the rear end or you may wear your Diff out....First goes the rear drive shaft seal then the 2 pinion bearings. Some people don't have an issue with it. I was one of those unlucky...

Here is a picture of my dirty truck with the Belltech 3-5 drop..

I can snap some pics of my front sway bar. It was several years ago when I re-installed the sway bars on my truck, but I do remember having to switch sides and flip the end links. I may have even flipped the actual sway bar? I also used a universal poly bushing and may have relocated those mounts as well. It's supposed to warm up next week, I'll get out to the shop and try to snap some pics for comparison.

Cool 95 Eddie Bauer 2wd 300 six 3/5ish drop

Ok, this is my first upload. I dropped mine with DJM beams up front and made my own axle re-locator brackets for the rear. That's a '79 Bronco rear bumper. Thanks for the idea, Wolfer. I love my truck.
