where are the gear shift forks located

where are the gear shift forks located

my ford f-150 wont start in first or second gear, only in third, fourth, fifth. Is it likely that my gear shift forks are burned out?

sooner think the neutral safety switch is bad or mis-aligned...

The shift forks in a manual are internal, and are not wired to any active device.

Year of truck??
