Default Wheel spacers

yes, common topic but I am not asking the typical question. got some new rubber on my 89 f150. rubs bad. looking to get wheel spacers. my question is: if you install them correctly using loctite and torquing them down properly, does it make much of a difference using off brand vs name brand like spidertrax? significant price decrease when going with off brand and was wondering if it was worth the extra roughly $50 when I am pinching pennies. Thanks!

price often reflects quality, fit and workmanship. IF the cheaper ones are machined accurately and for your application, then you should be OK, if they are sloppy, then you will be fighting this.

Keep in mind that either spacer needs to be strong enough for the added loads and road use. You will need an alignment after installation, and so on.

Be Safe

Sounds like you got the wrong size.

That would be incorrect. Click this, read the caption, and follow the link in it:

Most of them probably come from the same chinese factory anyway. Mine had no branding (only size information etched in), and they worked fine for a decade (until I changed back to wheels that didn't require spacers).
