Default whats is this plug for?

ok i dont have a pic, but if needed i will take one and post it. anyway, this plug is on the top, front of the engine,(89 302) it has a stopper in it, a roundish plug, i believe it comes off the dist. i am recalling this from my memory so i could be wrong, i will look tomorrow when its light and let yall know if im wrong, anyway thanks in advance.

SpOut connector. It jumpers the computer to the ignition system, allowing it to control ignition advance. You'd remove the cap from that connector to disable timing advance when setting base timing.
