Default What should be replaced when pulling the engine out?

Hey all - I am pulling the engine out of my 1995 5.8L with 150,000 miles in order to replace the oil pan gasket, rear main seal, and motor mounts. Besides that, is there anything else you'd recommend replacing while I have the engine out? Wanna take advantage of the accessibility.

When you have the pan off, I would plastigauge the crank and rod bearings to check their condition, replace if needed. I would replace the oil pump. Finally, I would check the condition and determine the amount of slop ( in timing degrees) with the timing chain/ sprockets, replace them if not within specs.Replace the transmission front seal only if it leaks.
Use OEM motor mounts if possible.

This is a great question. Are there any other things in the engine bay that you would recommend while the engine is out?

Maybe do a compression check

This would tell you how far you'll need to go with repairs

Remove the timing cover and inspect the timing chain. Replaced timing chain if stretched and replace the timing cover gasket.
