Default What is it? How do I replace it?

Hello all, hope everyones labor day is going well. I was trying to get a bit of work done on my truck. One of the things I've really been needing to do is replace my air filter, it's getting nasty. However, when I took it out, I noticed an even smaller component that was even filthier, I was wondering what exactly is this, and how would I go about replacing it? Any tips would be appreciated.

it has something to do with oil that overflows from the engine. follow the hose that connects to it and it should lead to your oil filler cap.

It's oil filter for the air box, Napa, autozone and so fourth cheap money & easy replace. There's a big c clip on the outter side pull it up remove filter and install new one push clip back in. Hold it will fall.

Crankcase or breather filter are more familiar names of item in question.

Another possible name is PCV filter.

Pretty common filter - most parts stores should know what you need just by looking at the old one.
