I was wondering what kind of ignition system you guys run on your "older" trucks?
I've got a MSD Blaster coil, MSD plug wires, and Autolite plugs myself.

 

right now bone stock but when i get a job i plan on upgrading
msd sounds like a good setup about how much does it run?

 

Coil ran me about $50, and the wires about $80, plugs were a couple bucks each.

 

ah thats great for what it is but do the coils and all have to be engine specific

 

My coil is part#8227, but I have a 5.oL 302 don't know what it would be for the 4.9 . I don't have it in front of me, but I do remember reading that this one fit a large number of vehicles. You can prob look it up easy at autozone.com though.
