Question What to do next???

Ok im 16 and this is a hand me down Im wondering what to do with this truck? im thinking of maybe a 3 inch lift but nothing too high, maybe 31-32" tires, chrome brush bar, chrome roll bar, true dual exhaust w/glasspack mufflers. Thats all i had in mind. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and any advice on the exhaust?? btw its the 302 efi, xlt lariat 2wd and its all stock currently

Welcome to the board!

That's a nice lookin' ride you got there.
A 3" lift might look a little too high with 31's or 32's though. I have a stock suspension 96 4x4 with 31's and they fill the wheel wells just fine. Perhaps a 2" lift with 33's would be a nice combination. I am sure some others here will have more suggestions for you.

Good luck!

Welcome to the forum!! I would say if you get any kind of lift then go 33s cause I have a 4" and my 31s look too small. As far as exhaust goes Id run true duals with 18" glasspacks and no cats if possible. Thats what I run, its deep and kinda loud. Everybody ive talked to said they thought i had bigger than a 302 from the way it sounds.

Shoot no go with a 4 inch lift, and 32s or 33s. I've got a 4 inch on mine with 32s an it looks damn good. Wish I had done a 6 but that can happen later on. You oughta do the ignition upgrade to the motor as well. Put a high voltage coil 8 mm wires brass cap an rotor, copper plugs with bout a .055 gap and bump the timing up a lil. It helps those 302s quite a bit. Gettin your exhaust and intake done will help too.

I just went to my local exhaust shop and told him what I wanted. He bent the pipes to fit (mandrel bend to) and welded everything up. Charged me bout 200 or so for everything. Thats not counting the tips though cause I already had them. And as far as loud goes, its not too loud....

I got my 90 4x4 XLT Lariat w/ a 302 n a 5spd. (pictured<<<<<) I have a K&N FIPK, MSD cap n rotor, MSD coil, Granatelli wires, n E3 Diamond Fire spark plugs. Truck runs pretty good, even better when I can fix the oil leak. When ya get runnin, I would put on a K&N High Flow air filter. My truck runs a true dual exhaust w/ 2 glasspacks and no cats (no testin in Sweet Home Alabama) Its no sports car (GVRW 6100 pounds) but it runs, so Im temporarily happy

Mine leaks oil too currently, and the k&n sounds good, so I'll look into that and true duals, 18"glasspacks w/o cats
