What did you do to your truck today?

Well I tackled a big job today! Replaced axle seals, bearings, and brakes on the rear axle. Old seal was gone and slinging oil everywhere!
And after:
First time I've done any of this so a big thanks to those of you who provided advice and encouragement!!! Still need to bleed the brakes, but after about 8 hours of it I was a bit tired! When I went in for the night, I set the parking brake and it felt good, and I also have quite a bit of brake pedal too, so I think I got it done right! Figured I saved myself about $500-600 bucks over a shop job!

This is why we replace our plastic vacuum lines boys and girls:
That WAS the white plastic line that runs to the re-circulation door motor. I had a weird hissing noise behind my dash, and noticed at higher speeds that my defrost vents seemed to be pushing a decent amount of air through them even though the climate contol system was off. So I decided to investigate this guy. It looked fine, until I handled it and watched it begin to disintegrate before my eyes.
Replaced with rubber, no more hissing noise, no more air thru the vents.

Usually, the seal is fine - it's the AXLE that gets a wear groove, letting the housing drop off-center, creating a gap at the bottom of the seal. Did your axle have a groove like this?
(phone app link)The rattle spring on the e-brake bar shouldn't be compressed unless the e-brake is applied. Had you already adjusted the autoadjuster before you took that pic?

And it doesn't look like you greased anything.
(phone app link)It's only the white one that's susceptible to UV coming through the hood/fender gap. The others can age, but MUCH more slowly.

Yep no problem. I don't know if the effect is real or not, but everything seems to work better now with the climate controls. A/C is colder and the fan even feels stronger.

The vacuum system has no effect on the refrigerant system, or the blower.

Had some paint left over from painting my steps so decided to put it to good use for a future project that needed some paint attention.
