No clue what this is. It has a red button on the back and a red light when truck is on, but have been scared to push it.

Then there is also this fuse that is not plugged in. Any thoughts?

Probably an alarm or switch used for something that the original owner installed in 1987.

Unless you find a person here with the same switch, you're unlikely to get a solid answer.

Why are you scared? If it is nitrous, you'll just go fast.
If it was for an amp, the music will just get louder
If it was for an alarm, well you'd probably be able to start the truck.

If you are uncomfortable pressing the button you'll need to trace the wiring to see where it ends.

Hard to say if it was maybe something used in the 80's as a starter-kill, however it's pretty obvious to a thief that they must press the button to start the vehicle.

For an ejection seat.
What year is the truck?

Follow the wires to see what they're connected to, or spliced into.
