So I took an extended lunch today to tackle the leak project. The trim was a bit of a pain at first but once I "got it", it wasn't too bad. The very last clip on the bottom drivers side trim was a real PITA though. Had to get a screwdriver in there to free it. No idea why it wouldn't release.

Anyway, after pulling the trim, I sprayed some soapy water in the suspect areas and went inside the truck with an air hose. Sprayed all along the perimeter of the window and found the issues at the lower drives and passengers corners. Got some windshield sealant and did my best to fill any gaps.

Also, replaced the driver's side washer nozzle while I was in there. Just gotta wait til the sealant dries before I test everything out. Keeping my fingers crossed that I got everything. If not, it shouldn't be too bad to pull the trim again to re-do.

Thanks to all who have given advice in this thread, it has been a huge help!

Probably because the trim was installed while the w/s adhesive was still wet, so the trim was glued down, even though you released its clip.

It's very common for w/s replacers to cut the factory glue repeatedly until the w/s comes out, but NOT go back & remove all the old glue. So there can be a layer of old glue over a cut that goes through. When the new glue goes down, it may not seal that cut, creating a permanent leak path. The bottom corners are the hardest to reach because of the dash, so they get lots of butchery. It's not surprising you found leaks there.

Interesting to know. We're supposed to get rain later this week so I guess I will see how everything holds up. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Well, the rain came last night and the floor is wet again. :-( The sides don't seem to be the issue though, seems to be coming more from the center. I pulled the carpet back a bit and that black foam / sound deadening barrier was wet behind. Maybe there were windshield leaks that I wasn't detecting before with the air hose / soapy water test. Going to pull the lower trim again and just re-seal the entire bottom of the windshield. Are there any other places the water could be coming from?

Looking again, only the driver's side seems affected. Passenger seems dry so I guess that seal held. I looked from the inside and the driver's corner I thought I had sealed still seems to be a little leaky. Not as bad as before but definitely still an issue. Just not sure if it goes over further. Almost seems like there is even more water now than before. Like maybe when I pulled off the trim and blew out all the gunk that maybe it was that gunk that was helping keep more water out. DOH! Will give sealing it one more shot. If that doesn't work, I already called a few shops and I can just get the whole thing replaced and resealed for about $180.

I've seen it come through openings in the firewall (steering column, clutch reservoir) that weren't sealed. Rusts the floor pan right out.
If it's been happening for a while, you may be able to see a faint rust trail on the firewall.

I was kind of thinking that but I was checking today as it was raining pretty hard and I couldn't see any water coming out there. Will give the clutch reservoir another good look. This is so frustrating.

Remove the floor covering, and draw chalk lines around the sheet metal. The rain will leave traces in the chalk.

OK, round 2 done. I checked the whole windshield and I could not find any where it was leaking. Underneath the metal wiper covering, on the driver's side, I noticed there was a seam of sealant basically going from where the corner of the window is down behind the quarter panel. It looked to be in rough shape so I scraped off what I could with a screwdriver. Resealed it and put everything back together. The strange thing was that the far access hole on the passenger side had a large rubber grommet covering it but the driver's one didn't. As a precaution, I made my own out of a piece of plastic and sealed it with silicon. Keeping my fingers crossed that this takes care of the problem. Will post an update at that time.

Honestly, I don't know. I guess it's possible but what would cause that? I am really getting frustrated with this.
