Default Weird engine issue

ok so my truck is a 94 4x4 5.0L with automatic

today i was taking my mom to lunch and the truck decided to do something new on me. i was cruising at just under 40 and the rpm's dropped to 1000 and the engine started stuttering. i could give her gas and she would come back alive for me and as i went down the road the issue went away. i cant really say it was there for more than a minute really. i am now confused as to what could of caused it, as it has never done that before. any suggestions guys?

I had the same thing happen to me last week coming home from work. The motor was sputtering acting like it was starving for gas. Once I pulled off to the side let it idle for a minute, it went away. I recently dropped my rear gas tank and changed the fuel pump, so i figured maybe I knocked some gunk loose and the pump sucked it up. The same thing happened to me with my old Chevy 4x4 constantly, but those were vapor locking issues. Anyways, my F-150 did it once last week and hasn't done it again since. Maybe that is what happened to you...hopefully.
