Default Weatherstripping

I need new weatherstripping on my truck. The weatherstripping I have so far has sticky stuff on it, do I just use that or do I use that 3m weatherstripping glue?

I have their door weatherstripping and it has a thing to peel it off and it’ll stick to the door. Is that gonna create a good seal or is it gonna leak if I don’t use the weatherstripping glue?

Never got into weatherstripping replacement here, so my opinion would be that if they didn't include extra glue or otherwise specify using any, would go with just the peeling and sticking, making sure the contact surface area is clean-clean and maybe wiped down with alcohol, with good pressure applied to get the rubber seated and stuck down good.
