Exclamation Water in the fuel tank

I got some bad gas at an out of state sation.... i took it to a mechanic and he pulled off my fuel filter and said it was full of water he told me just t wait it out ad it would go through the system but he says it may take months and i cannot wait that long because of th way it makes my truck run ... Is there anything i can do ?

Add some fuel line antifreeze or heat into the fuel tank. If you don't have heat in your area you could add a cup or two of isopropyl alcohol into the tank, the main ingredient in most gas line antifreeze.

What that does is the alcohol bonds with the water and is able then to be burned.
