it's pointless to run plats on our trucks. copper is a better conductor.

You'd actually want to use the cheaper ones, as [Sixlitre, very credible from fullsizebronco.com] mentioned, anything more expensive is wasted on our engines.

Do a cam but don't go too large or it will run like crap. It can also make it sound better.

I would go for one of these - all the power you'll ever need - Mr. Fusion

something i did, (dont know how much it helps)
Pull your gas pedal towards the drivers seat so the throttle cable sticks out. Then put just a few (2-3) small zipties tightly around the cable. It sets the pedal up higher so you feel like theres more response i guess. Maybe placebo effect...

Yea i dont want to do a cam or anything to tear the engine down. This engine has 183,000 well taken care of miles and im gonna run it til it goes then drop a built engine into it. Im fine with bolt on power for now. I figure with all the stuff i wanna do i can push my horsepower up to close to 300. Its at 215 now estimated.

Well, I'm surprised nobody's mention a further advance of your base timing. You can leave the Cam alone. Won't get you 300 HP but, you'll notice the difference.
