I don't think it is a 3.31 non ls. For sure it is an open rear end. But my truck is 19 and it is 3.55 non ls, and my other truck is 18 and that is 3.08 non ls.

My 85 has axle code 17, I thought it was 2.73's non ls.

One link I checked had it listed as a 3.31 non L's for the 95-96 model years

I will check for a tag on the rearend, but if it is 2.73...that would explain it being so sluggish from a stop light, but out on the highway it feels like a truck with turbo when you get on it.

ok, the tag on the rear end says:

S832J

3188 5G24

Does that narrow anything down?
