Default Vibrations while driving

I have just recently noticed vibrations in what feels like the front end while driving. I took it to the mechanic and he said the front end is fine but when you are going 60 and you push in the clutch the vibrations go away. He thinks its the trans or motor. The truck has the straight 6 and the 5 speed tranny with 110,000 miles. ive heard only good things about the motor but bad about the trans. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thanks
