The issue with the Mustang aftermarket is it's geared towards a different powerband and a different vehicle weight. For example, the Mustang specific camshafts are crap in a truck. There are better selections. The only 5 speed I've seen available in a flareside was behind a 302 and a 300-6 but never a 351. Same goes for the regular F150's, only F250's and up.

my dad use to have a 92 (i think) F250.... 33x12.50x16.5s on a stock suspension...dual tanks.... it had a 460 (7.5L) with a 5 speed.... and 52,000 miles on it.... i reckon whoever had it before couldn't afford to drive it because it was horrible on gas.... that was the vehicle that i learned how to drive a clutch in didn't even have to rev it up to pull out lol

With my 250 I don't have to rev it up unless pulling in third, I have the T-19 in it so I have granny first and no OD.

That would be an 87-91. The only 5 speed they put behind the 351 or the 460 (ever) was the ZF5 transmission.
