you do know if you look from the top of the plentum there is a hole there so you can reach strait down to that screw. its hidden by the shae of the pletum. I had to search all over the web to find it but its there.

Correct....thus the need for the 1/4 ratchet and extension with the t40 torx bit wrapped with some electrical tape. The 1/4 is so it can fit through that hole, tape to keep the bit from falling off while in that hole, and extension to reach the screw.

i can get to mine fine. it's just the head of it is stripped out and i dont know how to get it out.

This might be your best option for that bolt at this point.
