Default undercoating suggestions

Hello all. I am looking for your opinions on undercoating. I was looking at por-15. The site said it isn't UV tolerant so I would have to topcoat it with the color of my choice afterward. Is por-15 what yall would use? I live close to the gulf and need coating that will stop rust as well. Thanks.

Whether to use POR 15 or Rust Bullet (comparable product) is something that hot rodders get super fired up about. Take a look, http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/por-...et-119795.html

POR 15 isn't UV tolerant, which is kind of problematic since there are parts of your frame that will get exposed to sunlight. Rust Bullet seems to be a little cheaper, tougher and requires a little less surface prep. People swear by just about everything here in So Cal...but I think that's just b/c we have desert conditions and not much really rusts once you get away from the coast anyway.

Definitely let us know how you decide to go (maybe even some before/after pics?). I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to approach the underside of my truck. I bought it from a guy who had it in Wisconson for nearly 18 years, so the underside is all rusted out. It needs some kind of attention, but not sure what. Would like to hear how things go to help me make my decision as well.

Rhinoline it or use the duraliner. Both of these will not remove rust but will not chip or come off without some serious scrapping.
