Default U joints

My 90 150 had both u joints bad in the front axle

One was replaced a year ago and the other is probably original

I can hear them clicking as I'm driving.

Should I be able to? I don't have the hubs locked in...

Ima fix it in the coming weeks just an fyi haha

If nothing is engaged the clicking is something else.

Start narrowing it down. Are you sure the driveshafts aren't turning? I would run a ziptie through one and around a frame member. If the driveshaft isn't turning, it'll be there after you drive 10' forward, and if it is turning it'll snap immediately.

Did it snap? Maybe something's stuck engaged.

Did it not snap? Try going for a short drive.
Does it still click? It's not the U-joints at least.
Did it stop clicking? Maybe the driveshaft is loosely fluid coupled to the wheels or transfer case and it's getting enough power to turn with nothing holding it, but the zip tie stopped it.

Either way, you've verified that the problem is related to the front drivetrain, or eliminated the front drivetrain by stopping it from moving.

Now that's advice. I'll try soon!
