Default Turns over fires wont fire to run

I have a 1990 f150 2 wheel drive with 5.0 automatic. the engine turns over with key but wont run. I unplug signal wire from starter relay and jump solenoid and it fires right up. put it in gear and it shuts off like you shut ignition off. have replaced neutreul safety switch, relay, and ignition switch. Has ob1 code 18. Any Ideas? If I plug signal wire back on relay after its running it also shuts off

Hi,
I think you are calling the "starter solenoid" a relay (which it is) BUT.....

Trying to keep things straight.

I can't help but wonder if the "S" wire from the starter selenoid to the ignition switch has a bad ground???

That is what people have told me. Do you know if that wire runs directly from ignition switch or if it runs through anything else? Just weird that it turns over fine and wants to fire but wont run if that wire is hooked to solenoid.

Could it be the TFI module?
