new cap rotor plugs wires and a coil
cap and rotor get the accel brand with brass terminals
plugs get plain ole copper core motorcrafts
wires i like taylors
and coil i like the pertronix flame thrower.

dont use oil with the energy concerving stamp on the back
all oils will have the stamp but dont use the ones that say energy conserving on the bottom of it.

i like wix oil filters and having the 4.9l you can fit a wix 2 qt BIG oil filter part number 51773

Belden is a premium wire company. If they are new keep them. You'll be hard pressed to find a better quality set.

Regarding the distributor rotor, please consider looking at a Motorcraft rotor. For the V8's I have yet to see a better quality rotor.

Motorcraft just re-brands another companies stuff....but it is always quality stuff and must perform to their standards.. Always buy Motorcraft when you can

i have an inline 6, would motorcraft work fine, even though you mentioned the v8? and would it be more expensive than accel brand? or probably about the same?
