TTB concerns.
All the stuff I have read about the TTB front axle has led me in the direction to believe its not the best design for 4wheelin or maybe just not mudding. Im not clear on this and seeing a lot of people opting to do the straight axle swap.....just kinda made me 2nd guess myself on my purchase of this truck. Then I came across this article and it makes me feel better about my decision of picking this truck to build. FYI my truck will not see a whole lot of mud but a lot of sand & rock. What are your thoughts on the TTB front axle, Goods & the Bads.

The ttb 44 is a great axle with awesome wheel travel possibilities! If you want to go fast in 4 wheel drive the ttb is for you! Honestly I would only swap to a solid front axle if I was swapping a Dana 60. Because the benefit of a Dana 44 solid over the D 44 ttb are so minimal it wouldn't be worth it. There is a ton of aftermarket support for the ttb if you look.
I had a 1989 dodge 1/2 ton when I was young and it had a solid Dana 44 up front with 33" tires. I broke way more axle shafts and other parts on that solid axle then I ever have running 33" tires on my 92,93 or 95 f150s with the TTB.

I was watching a baja type race the other day, a lot of open deserts and some rock climbing. They went to interview one of the drivers on any advantages he thought he had, his answer was his home made ttb style front suspension. If it works for them can't see why it won't for you.
Awesome..thats great to here. Yeah I'll mainly be runnin the beach with it and occasionally have it at the ranch which is really rocky. Someone also told me that only one wheel wants to spin at a time and its not a true 4WD, is that what all the talk is about the air lockers? Sorry 4 wheelin is new to me. Do y'all know of any good links for aftermarket suspension & driveline stuff. Thanks!
