Default Truck Shutdown

what would cause a truck to shut off just going down the highway . Not pulling anything . It has a brand new duralast gold battery , solenoid . Brand new dual tank switch . It will not even try to crank . Both of fuel tanks have been cleaned out. No trash inside . Brand new gas .

Any suggestions???

This is on a 1990 f150 custom 4.9 long bed dual tanks electronic fuel injection.

Check connections first. Especially the grounds. Sounds like a loss of connectivity from the symptoms.

My dad just told me that the truck only shuts off on the rear tank.

Will do about ground connections

Shutting down and not cranking could be 2 separate issue. Start with checking the connections.
