Default Truck Cam

I have a 1994 F-150 with a 5.0 non HO motor, i believe it is a roller motor. Does any one know with the max cam lift the factory heads can handle? Will a Ford Racing B cam work, the lift isn't that crazy? or would High Energy with a 456/456 be better?

It is a roller motor. Get the B-cam. It is a good general purpos cam. I don't know what max lift the heads will handle, however, a set of 1.6 roller rockers will free up a few extra ponies too.

What is your firing order now? I TOTALLY forgot that the HO has a diffrent firing order. The Ho firing order is 1 3 7 2 6 5 4 8

Then the B-cam will not work. I recommend calling Jeggs and talking to their tech Dept. They have helped me in the past and are very knowlegable. IF you are going with a larger lift cam change the valve springs and do a valve job on the heads too.
