Default Transmission shudder in cold weather

95 f150 302 auto. Bought the truck with shuddering during shifts 2 years ago. I flushed the tranny and the shuddering went away for a year (replaced with mercon v). Came back strong when the weather got cold. Doesn't go away as tranny warms up. Happens with od on or off. Seems worst around the 45mph shift.

Would a bad TC act like this? Trying to figure out if the weather is a big coincidence or not, very strange timing if it is.

I had the same problem with a 95 f-150 it turned out to be the torque converter in the transmission . After I got it replaced no more problem !

Change the transmission fluid again and you'll probably be good for another year. Mine's been doing it for about 8 years now and a fresh fluid change fixes it every time. Some people say Dr. Tranny's Instant Shutter Fix works great, haven't tried it.
BTW, it IS the torque converter.
