Default Transmission question

Today I turned and was accelerating up a slight hill The transmission usually does fine, but today it shifted HARD. Shook/jolted the whole truck, same thing happened later now going uphill. hasent done it in the other 30 miles i drove today. never really had any problems, but is this something to be worried about?

Are you sure it was the transsm. and not the engine. when was the last time u service the transsm. Yes u should be concer about any little change on your truck . some times its cheapper to fix a little problem now than a big problem later.

Start w/ a can of Transtune. Don't know your yr. or tranny but if it's ECU integrated, run error code scans to see if you turn up a tranny code.

Consider checking the mpls; I was having the same problem with mine, and a new mpls switch took care of it . . . lots cheaper than a trans rebuild.
